Debra Gentry

Director, ALTA Best Practices Services Group

For more than 30 years, Debra has held numerous roles in the title insurance industry and has performed all responsibilities of a settlement agent including: title searcher, processor, closing agent, and title insurance agent. Debra was an agency representative for two national underwriters for seven years, and sales manager at RynohLive for four years. She is a long-standing member of ALTA and TNLTA. She serves as a director within PYA’s ALTA Best Practices Services Group.

In 2017, Debra was awarded ALTA’s prestigious distinction of NATIONAL TITLE PROFESSIONAL™ in recognition of her demonstrated knowledge, experience, and dedication essential to the safe and efficient transfer of real property.

Mike Shamblin

Managing Principal of Audit & Assurance Services

Mike provides auditing and assurance services to a variety of industries including healthcare providers and financial institutions. Mike’s clients include: multi-hospital health systems, community hospitals, multi-specialty physician clinics, academic physician practice plans, multi-bank holding companies, thrifts, credit unions and other for-profit and non-profit organizations. He has significant experience with internal control design matters. He has assisted several clients in performing organizational risk assessments and in correcting internal control deficiencies. Mike is a frequent speaker on accounting and financial reporting matters. Mike is a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a Master of Accountancy degree and Bachelors in Business Administration. He is a CPA and a graduate of the Southeastern School of Banking.

Barry Mathis

Principal – Information Technology

Barry has nearly three decades of experience in the information technology (IT) and healthcare industries as a CIO, CTO, senior IT audit manager, and IT risk management consultant. He has performed and managed complicated HIPAA security reviews and audits for some of the most sophisticated hospital systems in the country. Barry is a creative senior level healthcare executive who is visionary and results-oriented with demonstrated experience in planning, developing, and implementing complex information technology solutions to address business opportunities while reducing IT risk and exposure. He is adept at project and crisis management, trouble shooting, problem solving, and negotiating. Barry has strong technical capabilities combined with outstanding presentation skills and professional pride. He is a prudent risk taker with proficiency in IT risk management, physician relations, strategic development, and employee team building.
